Upper Lake Water Levels
Water levels of the upper lake, Spruce Lake, will be restored to normal levels shortly after December 25. The lower lake, Timber Lake, will remain lowered while residences continue repairs/maintenance.
Lowering the Lakes
We will start lowering the lakes on November 26 for residents to perform dock / bulkhead repairs or shoreline clean-up. Residents will be notified when the lakes will be returned to normal levels.
Vandalism at the Clubhouse
Signs were torn down and a bench was broken off a picnic table.
Please help keep our community areas clean and safe, report any unusual activity to the board.

Vandalism at the Clubhouse
On October 14th, between 7:45pm and 8:30pm, there was an act of vandalism at the Clubhouse Beach. A black bike was found thrown over the volleyball net and given to the police. A police report was filled, but please do let us know if you have any additional information.
Requests to Lower the Lake
If you are in need of dock / bulkhead repairs or would like to clean your shoreline, please submit a request to lower the lake at the October membership meeting. TLCA will be submitting applications to lower both Timber and Spruce Lakes. If permitted we will lower the lakes from mid-November thru March based on requests.
Clubhouse Rentals Resume May 19th
According to new guidelines released by the State of New Jersey, clubhouse rentals will resume with a limited capacity beginning on May 19, 2021. All renters must follow this new set of guidelines including, social distancing, wearing a mask, and have an indoor max capacity of 50 people.
Beach Supervisor Job Opening
TLCA is looking for a beach supervisor starting May 29th.
Please email TLCA at secretary@timberlakes.org if you are interested in the position. Must be an adult.
The beach supervisor schedule:
May 29th - June 17th: Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm - 5:00pm
June 18th - September 6th: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The daily responsibilities of the beach supervisor include:
Ensure the signs around the beach area reflect the proper information
Rake the beach area and shallow water to remove debris
Clean up picnic and parking areas of all trash
Put out lifesaving equipment
Sweep pavement areas
Keep an accurate count of all members that enter the swimming and recreational areas
Check for membership tags
Dues Payment Information
Thank you to everyone who has sent in their dues. We’ve received questions about when the due checks will be cashed. Any checks received before March 1st for the 2021-2022 dues will be deposited the first week of March. We cannot deposit 2021-2022 dues until the 2020 fiscal year ends on February 28, 2021.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines clubhouse rentals have been postponed. TLCA will continue to follow NJ guidelines on gathers.

Community members have reported vandalism at the clubhouse, including the removal of the clubhouse’s shingles and an attempt to steal the dog shadow figure.
TLCA has submitted applications to lower both Timber and Spruce Lakes. If permitted we will lower the lakes from mid-November thru March. While the lakes are lowered, it is a perfect time to make any needed repairs and to clean up the shorelines. • Residents no longer need to contact Monroe Public Works to schedule or request a bulk trash pickup. Pickup is on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.

COVID-19 Update
TO COMPLY WITH THE STATE OF NJ EXECUTIVE ORDERS AND THE CDC’S RECOMMENDATIONS, ALL TLCA COMMON AREAS WILL FOLLOW THE BELOW GUIDELINES:
Face covering is recommend when social distancing is difficult to maintain. Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from people not in your group.
Picnic areas, playgrounds, pavilions, and other buildings and facilities are closed.
Parks are open for passive recreation, including fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, walking/running, biking and birding.
Beach is open as long as social distancing guidelines are practiced. There are 6′ markings on the beach.
As always the swimming area of the Lake is open only during posted operating hours (weather permitting) Friday – Monday 12pm – 5pm
